[RUNNING OUTSIDE LIKE HE'S NEVER RUN BEFORE!! Granted.... he doesn't get very far because he's tired. Sakura can find him chilling out on a bench. Shirou looks like a mess and he's officially the worst.]

How will I protect Sakura and keep her happy here? Is asking for a peaceful life with her too much? [He's pretty sure it isn't a lot to ask for so why is this so difficult for them? Shirou's gritting his teeth so hard he might make himself pass out....SAKURA HELP SENPAI.]

[SAKURA'S ON THE JOB...! She's glad that he was quick to find at least, but given his expression, that's the least of her worries right now. As she overhears him, she can't help but smile warmly, fondly, with the special sort of affection that she always has for Shirou. If that's what he's so worked up about, then it really is nothing to worry about. The problem is convincing him of that.

So when she walks to him, Sakura kneels down in front of him instead of sitting by his side, all so she can gently take his face in her hands. She smiles gently, but she's determined to make him understand this too; like this, the only things they can look at is each other.]

You can keep me happy just by being here, Senpai. I know I'm asking for a lot, but as long as you're here with me, that's all I need.

[She sighs, but it's fond and affectionate. Shirou reacting like this isn't surprisingly in the least. She just wish he'd understand.]

Of course. You've already forgiven me for so much, and you've done even more for my sake. I know I can always rely on you, no matter what you say. [She exhales, a breath shaped more like a laugh, before pressing her lips against Shirou's forehead. She'll stay by him for as long as he wants—forever, even.] So it wouldn't be fair not to do the same for you.

For the record, you were right before. I should have rested. I'm too tired to move. [Sakura's making Shirou blush a little. It's slightly embarrassing to do this out in the open, but he drags her into a hug using his unsteady arms. ]

Let's stay like this for a while.

[She at least moves up to sit beside him so that hugging her won't be too difficult. Naturally, as if this how they always were, she raises her arms and hugs back, leaning into his embrace. It's so comfortable and safe; she doesn't know how or why Shirou would think he couldn't protect her when this is already doing it. Something as simple as this is more than enough to make her happy.]

Okay. If it helps you calm down, we can stay here as long as you like.

[Shirou was certainly feeling cold earlier. Sakura's warmth is making him relax and he falls asleep there. There's nothing on his expression that suggests he's in distress. He's completely calm with Sakura by his side. As long as Shirou can keep her close he'll always be happy.

SHE DID SAY SHE'D STAY THERE FOR AS LONG AS HE WANTED.]

[TRYING TO MAKE HER TAKE BACK HER WORDS, HUH... But it's okay, she had a feeling that this might happen. He looked exhausted, no matter what he tried to say. So as gently as she can, she takes off her own jacket to wrap it around Shirou while still supporting him. It might not be the ideal location, but if he gets some good rest, that's all she cares about.

After all, Shirou's right there with her, just like she always hoped he would be. There isn't anything she could be discontent about here.]

[He wakes up an hour or two later. Looking much better too in fact!! ]

The fact that it feels so normal and regular to both of them is probably a testament to how happy they are to have each other here.]

I'm still not fully awake yet. When did you take your coat off?

Sakura...! [He feels...pathetic tbh. She's going out of her way to help him and he was selfish enough to complain earlier. WHY? Shirou's apologizing to himself for it or at least trying to.] I won't get sick because you took care of me.

But if you get sick I'll be the one responsible for it. Try to take better care of yourself...please.

I know. [Shirou rests face on Sakura's shoulder and keeps it there. He doesn't want to lose her and he's afraid something might come up again. SENPAI IS CONCERNED FOR REAL.]

You're better than that, but that's besides the point. I want us to stay peaceful for as long as possible so don't get sick. There's still a lot of things we have to do together, right?

[But likewise, she stands up and starts heading back with him. She looks up at him when it sounds like he'll mention something, but when he holds it back, she sighs, a little disappointed. It's unsurprising, but she's determined to get him to say what's worrying him at some point.]
